Composition

  • 600 mg elemental Calcium in film-coated tablet
  • 200 IU Vitamin D3 in film-coated tablet
  • 40 mg Magnesium in film-coated tablet
  • 1.8 mg Manganese in film-coated tablet
  • 1 mg Copper in film-coated tablet
  • 250 mcg Boron in film-coated tablet
  • 7.5 mg Zinc in film-coated tablet
  • 600 mg elemental Calcium in effervescent tablet
  • 400 IU Vitamin D3 in effervescent tablet

Pharmacology

Dosage & Administration

  • Adult dosage: 1 film-coated tablet twice daily
  • Preferably taken with a full glass of water
  • Children 3-7 years: 1 effervescent tablet daily
  • Children 7 years and older: 1-2 effervescent tablets daily

Interaction

  • Risk of hypercalcemia with thiazide diuretics
  • Concomitant treatment considerations for phenytoin, barbiturates, glucocorticoids, and cardiac glycosides
  • Impact of certain foods on calcium absorption
  • Potential reduction in absorption with calcium salts

Contraindications

  • Absolute contraindications for hypercalcaemia, primary hyperparathyroidism, and severe renal failure
  • Relative contraindications for osteoporosis due to prolonged immobilization, renal stones, and severe hypercalciuria

Side Effects

  • Mild gastro-intestinal disturbances
  • Occasional skin rash with vitamin-D3 supplements
  • Rare cases of hypercalciuria and hypercalcaemia with long-term high-dose treatment

Pregnancy & Lactation

  • Increased requirements for calcium and vitamin-D3 during pregnancy and lactation

Precautions & Warnings

  • Supervision required for mild to moderate renal failure or hypercalciuria

Overdose Effects
