Pharmacology

Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: 1 film-coated tablet twice daily
- Preferably taken with a full glass of water
- Children 3-7 years: 1 effervescent tablet daily
- Children 7 years and older: 1-2 effervescent tablets daily
Interaction
- Risk of hypercalcemia with thiazide diuretics
- Concomitant treatment considerations for phenytoin, barbiturates, glucocorticoids, and cardiac glycosides

Contraindications
- Absolute contraindications for hypercalcaemia, primary hyperparathyroidism, and severe renal failure
