Composition
- 600 mg elemental Calcium per film-coated tablet
- 200 IU Vitamin D3 per film-coated tablet
- 40 mg Magnesium per film-coated tablet
- 1.8 mg Manganese per film-coated tablet
- 1 mg Copper per film-coated tablet
- 250 mcg Boron per film-coated tablet
- 7.5 mg Zinc per film-coated tablet
- Calcium Carbonate BP equivalent to 600 mg elemental Calcium per effervescent tablet
- Vitamin D3 BP (as Cholecalciferol) 400 IU per effervescent tablet
- Magnesium Oxide BP equivalent to 40 mg Magnesium per effervescent tablet
- Manganese Sulfate Monohydrate BP equivalent to 1.8 mg Manganese per effervescent tablet
- Cupric Oxide equivalent to 1 mg Copper per effervescent tablet
- Boron Citrate equivalent to 250 mcg Boron per effervescent tablet

Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: 1 film-coated tablet twice daily, preferably with meals and water
- Children 3-7 years dosage: 1 effervescent tablet daily
- Children above 7 years dosage: 1 to 2 effervescent tablets daily
Interaction
- Risk of hypercalcemia in patients taking thiazide diuretics
- Avoiding hypocalcemia in digitalized patients
- Effect of certain foods on calcium absorption
- Effect of phenytoin or barbiturates on Vitamin D3
- Effect of glucocorticoids on Vitamin D3
- Interaction of calcium with digitalis and other cardiac glycosides
- Reduction of absorption of certain medications by calcium salts
Contraindications
- Absolute contraindications including hypercalcemia, primary hyperparathyroidism, Vitamin-D 3 overdosage, and severe renal failure
- Relative contraindications such as osteoporosis due to prolonged immobilization and severe hypercalciuria
Side Effects
- Mild gastrointestinal disturbances from calcium supplements
- Occasional skin rash from vitamin-D3 supplements
- Occurrence of hypercalciuria and hypercalcaemia with long term high dose treatment
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Increased requirements for calcium and vitamin-D3 during pregnancy and lactation
- Caution regarding administration of calcium and iron supplements at different times
- Potential teratogenic effects of vitamin-D3 overdoses in pregnant animals
- Passage of vitamin-D3 and metabolites into breast milk
Precautions & Warnings
- Careful supervision of patients with mild to moderate renal failure or mild hypercalciuria
- Periodic monitoring of plasma calcium levels and urinary calcium excretion
- Monitoring of serum and urinary calcium levels and kidney function during long term treatment
- Consideration of calcium and vitamin D3 supplements from other sources
Overdose Effects
- Symptoms including nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dry mouth, loss of appetite, metallic taste, stomach cramps, diarrhea, and constipation
