Composition
- Calcium Carbonate BP equivalent to 600 mg elemental Calcium
- Vitamin D3 BP (as Cholecalciferol) 200 IU
- Magnesium Oxide BP equivalent to 40 mg Magnesium
- Manganese Sulfate Monohydrate BP equivalent to 1.8 mg Manganese
- Cupric Oxide equivalent to 1 mg Copper
- Boron Citrate equivalent to 250 mcg Boron
- Zinc Oxide BP equivalent to 7.5 mg Zinc
Pharmacology

Dosage & Administration
- Adult: 1 film-coated tablet twice daily
- Children 3-7 years: 1 effervescent tablet daily
- 7 years and older: 1 to 2 effervescent tablets daily
Interaction
- Consideration of hypercalcemia in patients taking thiazide diuretics
- Avoiding hypocalcemia in digitalized patients
- Reduced absorption of calcium from certain foods
- Effect of phenytoin or barbiturates on Vitamin-D3
- Decreased effect of Vitamin D3 with glucocorticoids
- Attenuation of effects of digitalis with oral administration of calcium combined with Vitamin-D3
- Reduction in absorption of thyroxin, bisphosphonates, and antibiotics by calcium salts
Contraindications
- Absolute contraindications like hypercalcemia and severe renal failure
- Relative contraindications like severe hypercalciuria
Side Effects
- Mild gastrointestinal disturbances
- Skin rash
- Hypercalciuria and rare cases of hypercalcemia with long-term treatment at high doses
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Increased requirements for calcium and vitamin-D3 during pregnancy and lactation
- Different administration time for calcium and iron supplements
- Teratogenic effects of vitamin-D3 overdoses in pregnant animals
- Passage of vitamin-D3 and its metabolites into breast milk
Precautions & Warnings
- Careful supervision for patients with renal failure or hypercalciuria
- Periodic checks of plasma calcium levels and urinary calcium excretion
- Monitoring of serum and urinary calcium levels and kidney function with long-term treatment
Overdose Effects
- Symptoms including nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dry mouth, loss of appetite, metallic taste, stomach cramps, diarrhea, and headache
