Indications
- Indicated in zinc deficiency
- Excessive loss of zinc in trauma, burns, diarrhoea
- Given until clinical improvement occurs
Pharmacology
- Essential trace element involved in body enzyme systems
- Vital for sexual maturation and reproduction
- Vital for immune defenses
Dosage
- 5 ml for child under 10 kg
- 10 ml for child between 10-30 kg
- 20 ml for adults and child over 30 kg

- Dispersible tablet instructions
Interaction
- Decrease in absorption with concomitant intake of tetracycline and zinc
- Decrease in absorption with quinolone drug and zinc
- Decrease in absorption with penicillamine and zinc
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in hypersensitive individuals
