Pharmacology
- Competitive antagonist of Acetylcholine
- Competitive antagonist of Histamine
- Strengthens calcium bond with membrane phospholipids and proteins
- Inhibits intracellular contractile protein of visceral cell
- Inhibition of visceral spasm
- Inhibition of visceral pain
Dosage & Administration
- Usual dose for adults: 2-6 tablets or 3-9 teaspoonfuls of syrup daily
- Usual dose for children: 3 ml/kg or 6 mg/kg body weight daily
- Injection dosage: 1 Tiemonium Methylsulphate Injection 3 times daily
- Suppository dosage: 20 mg Tiemonium Methylsulphate suppository two or three times daily

- Avoid possible drug interaction
Contraindications
- Not to be used in urethroprostatic disorder involving risk of urine retention
- Contraindicated in patients at risk of angle closure glaucoma
