  • Risk of thiamine deficiency syndrome in severely malnourished patients
  • Monitoring of serum potassium and blood glucose
  • Additional supply of phosphate for hypophosphatemia patients

Overdose Effects

  • Risk of nausea, vomiting, sweating
  • Risk of thrombophlebitis with peripheral veins
  • Osmotic diuresis with dehydration
