Indications
- Reduces muscle spasm of the intestine

Pharmacology
- Tiemonium Methylsulphate as a competitive antagonist of Acetylcholine
- Tiemonium Methylsulphate as a competitive antagonist of Histamine
- Strengthening of calcium bond with membrane phospholipids and proteins
Dosage & Administration
- Adult dose: 2-6 tablets daily in divided doses
- Adult dose: 3-9 teaspoonfuls syrup daily in divided doses
- Children's dose: 3 ml/kg body weight daily in divided doses
- Children's dose: 6 mg/kg body weight daily in divided doses
- Injection: 1 Tiemonium Methylsulphate Injection 3 times daily
- Suppository: 20 mg Tiemonium Methylsulphate suppository two or three times daily
Interactions
- Must consult a registered physician before using with other drugs
Contraindications
- Not to be used in urethroprostatic disorder involving a risk of urine retention
- Contraindicated in patients at risk of angle closure glaucoma
Side Effects
- Risk of hypotension
- Risk of tachycardia
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Results of animal studies did not reveal teratogenic effects
- Prudence should be exercised during nursing mothers
