- PregnancyAndLactation: Successful and safe administration reported during pregnancy in humans, no animal reproduction studies conducted
- PrecautionsAndWarnings:
- UrinaryExcretion: Increased trace elements copper and zinc, which should be taken into account in dosing of trace elements, particularly during long-term IV nutrition
- Hyperphenylalaninemia: May occur in severely ill, premature infants, monitoring of phenylalanine level recommended, infusion rate to be adjusted as needed
- DiabetesAndHeartFailure: Use with caution, may require administration of exogenous insulin in patients with hyperglycemia, caution with refeeding carbohydrates in severely malnourished patients
- Hypophosphatemia: Additional supply of phosphate recommended
- Monitoring: Recommended for serum potassium and blood glucose if infused rapidly or in large quantity
- OverdoseEffects: Risk of nausea, vomiting, sweating, thrombophlebitis, osmotic diuresis with dehydration, symptoms related to hyperglycemia, slow down or discontinue infusion in case of overdose symptoms
