Description

Fatisol is a source of calories and essential fatty acids for patients requiring parenteral nutrition for extended periods of time. It is used in various indications including preoperative and postoperative nutritional disturbances, nutritional disorders due to inadequate intestinal absorption, burns, impaired renal function, cachexia, and essential fatty acid deficiency. The composition includes refined soyabean oil, purified egg lecithin, and glycerol. It is administered intravenously, and the dosage varies for adults, children, and infants. It should be used with caution during pregnancy and lactation. Precautions include monitoring in neonates and premature infants, and it should be stored at 15°C to 30°C in a dry place protected from light.

Composition

Pharmacology

Dosage

  • Administer as part of Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)

Administration

Contraindications
