Indications

Contraindications
- Allergic reaction to dextrose

- Warmth, redness, oozing, or bleeding at IV site
- Symptoms of high or low blood sugar, headache, trouble concentrating, memory problems, weakness, fainting, seizures, shallow breathing, or breathing cessation
- Symptoms of low potassium, anxiety, sweating, pale skin, severe shortness of breath, wheezing, pain, fast or uneven heart rate
