- Sodium Lactate 50% solution USP equivalent to 0.32g of Sodium Lactate
- Per litre contains Sodium 131mmol, Potassium 5mmol, Calcium 2mmol, Bicarbonate (as lactate) 29mmol, Chloride 111mmol
Recommended Dosage
- Varies with patient's age, weight, and clinical condition
- Up to 100-drops/minute/70kg body weight
- Dosage calculation for burn patients according to the Parkland formula
Administration Instructions
- Check infusion set and solution prior to use
- Gradually allow the fluid to flow down to the needle tip
- Clean and secure the veinpuncture site and needle
- Adjust drip speed for infusion
Contraindications
- Relatively contraindicated in patients with diabetes mellitus
