Indications

• Treats hypovolemia caused by surgery, hemorrhage, and trauma
• Used as a fluid and electrolyte replenisher
• Alternative treatment for metabolic acidosis associated with dehydration

Composition

• Sterile solution of Sodium Chloride, Potassium Chloride, Calcium Chloride, and Sodium Lactate
• Contains specific quantities of Sodium Chloride, Potassium Chloride, Calcium Chloride, and Sodium Lactate

Dosage

• Volume and rate of infusion depend on patient requirements and physician's judgment
• Variation with age, weight, and clinical condition of the patient
• Recommended flow rate based on body weight

Contraindications

• Not recommended for patients with diabetes mellitus due to gluconeogenic lactate isomer
