Indications
- Reduction of muscle spasm in the intestine
- Symptomatic treatment of pain related to functional disorders of the digestive tract
- Treatment of spasm and pain in urological and gynecological diseases
Pharmacology
- Competitive antagonist of Acetylcholine and Histamine
- Strengthens calcium bond with membrane phospholipids and proteins
Dosage & Administration
- Usual adult dose of 2-6 tablets or 3-9 teaspoonfuls syrup daily in divided doses
- Children's dose of 3 ml/kg or 6 mg/kg body weight daily in divided doses
- Injection dosage of 1 Tiemonium Methylsulphate Injection 3 times daily
- Suppository dosage of 20 mg Tiemonium Methylsulphate suppository two or three times daily through rectal route
Interaction
- Consult a registered physician before using with other drugs to avoid possible interactions
Contraindications
- Should not be used in urethroprostatic disorder involving risk of urine retention
- Contraindicated in patients at risk of angle closure glaucoma
