Indications

• Treatment of osteoarthritis of knee, hip, spine, hand, and other locations
• Beneficial in rheumatoid arthritis, sport injuries, migraine, psoriasis, atherosclerosis, kidney stones, and inflammatory bowel disease

Pharmacology

• Glucosamine as a fundamental building block for biosynthesis of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs)
• Chondroitin Sulfate as a glycosaminoglycan found in connective tissue
• Synergistic effect of combining Glucosamine with Chondroitin Sulfate

Dosage & Administration

• 250/200 mg tablet: 1 to 2 tablets, three times daily
• Dose adjustment according to drug response and body weight
• Different daily dosage recommendations based on body weight
• 750/600 mg tablet: 1 tablet two times daily or as directed by physician

Interaction

• No reports of significant drug interactions with various medication classes
• Enhancement of blood thinning effects by Chondroitin Sulfate

Contraindications

• No known contraindications
• Hypersensitivity to Glucosamine and Chondroitin

Side Effects

• No demonstrable side effects
• Rarely occurring side effects are almost like placebo

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women
• Not enough studies on effects during pregnancy or lactation

• Blood glucose monitoring for patients with Diabetes Mellitus
