Dosage & Administration

  • Administered 15-30 minutes before meals
  • Adult oral dose: 10-20 mg every 6-8 hours
  • Maximum adult dose: 80 mg daily
  • Children's oral dose: 2-4 ml suspension/10 kg body weight every 6-8 hours
  • Infant oral dose: 0.4-0.8 ml pediatric drops/10 kg body weight every 6-8 hours
  • Acute nausea and vomiting adult dose: 20 mg every 6-8 hours
  • Acute nausea and vomiting children's dose: 0.2-0.4 mg/kg body weight every 6-8 hours
  • Rectal suppository dose: 30-60 mg every 4-8 hours
  • Maximum rectal dose for children: 30 mg for those weighing 10 to 25 kg
  • Maximum treatment period: 12 weeks

  • Anticholinergic drug interaction
  • Antacids and antisecretory drug interaction

Contraindications
