Pharmacology
- Glucosamine as fundamental building block for biosynthesis of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs)
- Activation of chondrocytes in cartilage
- Diacerein as analgesic and anti-inflammatory
Dosage & Administration
- One tablet twice daily with food for adults
- Not established for children and adolescents under 18 years
Interaction
- Decreased absorption with aluminium and/or magnesium hydroxide antacids
- Increased risk of diarrhea with laxatives or antibiotics
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Glucosamine or Diacerein
