Indications

Pharmacology
- Prodrug converted to fluorouracil
- Inhibits DNA synthesis
- Slows growth of tumor tissue
- Activated by thymidine phosphorylase

Dosage & Administration
- Monotherapy dosage: 1250 mg/m2 twice daily for 2 weeks
- Adjuvant treatment duration: 6 months
- Combined dosage with docetaxel
- Dosage adjustment for patients with moderate renal impairment
- Administration with food
Interaction
- Anticoagulants monitoring
