Indications
- Initial treatment of advanced ovarian carcinoma of epithelial origin
- Palliative treatment of recurrent ovarian carcinoma
- Established combination with other approved chemotherapeutic agents
Pharmacology
- Alkylating agent
- Covalently binds to DNA
- Modifies cell cycle
- Interferes with DNA structure and function
Dosage & Administration
- Intravenous injection
- Avoid aluminum parts in needles or intravenous sets
- Recommended dosage of 400 mg/m2
- 15 to 60 minute infusion
- Dosage adjustment for elderly patients
- Hematologic nadir determination for dosage adjustment
Interaction
- Not to be mixed with other drugs
- Potentiation of renal effects of neurotoxic compounds

- Severe renal impairment
