Indications

Pharmacology
- Promotes assembly of microtubules
- Stabilizes microtubules
- Inhibits normal dynamic reorganization of microtubule network
- Induces abnormal arrays of microtubules
Dosage & Administration
- Administered in combination with cisplatin
- Different dosages based on treatment line
- Different dosages for different types of cancer
- Requires premedication to prevent hypersensitivity reactions
Interaction
- No affected clearance by cimetidine premedication
- Interaction with cisplatin leading to myelosuppression
- Interaction with doxorubicin affecting elimination
- Metabolism catalyzed by specific cytochrome P450 isoenzymes
