Indications
- Short-term management of moderate to severe post-operative pain
- Relief of pain, inflammation, and light sensitivity after ocular surgery

Description
- Maxdol is a drug of pyrrolo-pyrrole group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)
- Inhibits synthesis of prostaglandins
- Biological activity associated with the S-form
- Highly protein bound
- Largely metabolized in the liver
- Metabolites and some unchanged drugs are excreted in the urine
Pharmacology
- Potent analgesic of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
- Inhibits cyclooxygenase enzyme system and prostaglandin synthesis
- Minimal anti-inflammatory effect at analgesic dose
Dosage & Administration
- Recommended tablet dose: 10 mg every 4-6 hours for up to 7 days

Interaction
