Description
- Indicated for short-term management of moderate to severe acute post-operative pain
- Relieves pain, inflammation, and light sensitivity after ocular surgery
- Decreases eye inflammation or redness caused by seasonal allergies
- Belongs to the pyrrolo-pyrrole group of NSAIDs
- Inhibits prostaglandin synthesis
- Highly protein bound
- Metabolized in the liver
- Excreted in the urine
- Minimal anti-inflammatory effect at its analgesic dose
Dosage & Administration
- Tablet form: Recommended dose of 10 mg every 4-6 hours for up to 7 days
- Injection form: Single or multiple doses for postoperative pain management
- Eye Drops: 1 drop in each eye 4 times daily
- Specific dosages based on age, renal function, and body weight
- Maximum daily doses for different patient populations
- Single-dose and multiple-dose treatment guidelines
- Conversion from parenteral to oral therapy
