Indications

Pharmacology
Centrally acting muscle relaxant
Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: 50-150 mg three times daily
- Children (3 months to 6 years) dosage: 5 mg/kg/day in three divided doses
- Children (6 to 14 years) dosage: 2-4 mg/kg/day in three divided doses
Interaction
Concomitant use of methocarbamol with Rison can cause disturbance of visual accommodation
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the product
- Contraindicated in patients with myasthenia gravis
- Contraindicated in nursing mothers
Side Effects
- Muscular weakness
- Headache
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Hypersensitivity reactions (itching, redness of the skin, skin rash)
Pregnancy & Lactation
Should be used in pregnancy according to the physician's advice; should not be used during breastfeeding
Precautions & Warnings
Prescribed dose and duration of treatment should closely be observed, especially in children
