Myoxan 50 mg (Tablet)

Indications

• Treatment of increased tone of skeletal muscles due to organic neurological disorders
• Treatment of muscular spasm, muscular contracture, rigidity, spinal automatism
• Treatment of vascular diseases
• Treatment of post-thrombotic venous and lymphatic circulation disorders and crural ulcer

Pharmacology

• Centrally acting muscle relaxant
• Acts on the central nervous system
• Used for the treatment of elevated muscle tone and tension
• Used for certain circulation problems in the extremities

Dosage & Administration

• Recommended dose for adults
• Recommended dose for children (from 3 months to 6 years)
• Recommended dose for children (from 6 to 14 years)
• Direction for usage as directed by the registered physician

Interaction

• Concomitant use of methocarbamol with Myoxan can cause disturbance of visual accommodation

Contraindications

• Contraindicated in patients with history of hypersensitivity to any component of the product
• Contraindicated in patients with myasthenia gravis
• Contraindicated in nursing mothers

Side Effects

• Possible side-effects include muscular weakness, headache, nausea, vomiting
• Rarely hypersensitivity reactions may occur (itching, redness of the skin, skin rash)

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Tolperisone Hydrochloride should be used in pregnancy according to the physician's advice
• Not recommended for use during breastfeeding

Precautions & Warnings

• Close monitoring of prescribed dose and duration for children
• Adherence to treatment duration is critical
