Indications

Composition
- Active Substance: Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride BP equivalent to Ciprofloxacin 3 mg
- Preservative: Benzalkonium Chloride 0.06 mg
Pharmacology
Bactericidal activity against a wide range of Gram-negative and Gram-positive organisms
Dosage & Administration
- Corneal Ulcers: Specific instillation regimen for the first day, second day, and subsequent days
- Bacterial Conjunctivitis/Blepharitis: Specific instillation regimen for two days and the following five days
- Pediatric use: Safety and effectiveness not established for children under 1 year of age
Interaction
No specific ophthalmic drug interaction studies, but systemic quinolones may affect plasma concentrations and metabolism of other drugs
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Ciprofloxacin or any other component of the product
Side Effects
- Local burning or discomfort
- White crystalline precipitates in approximately 17% of patients
- Other reactions occurring in less than 10% of patients
Pregnancy & Lactation
No adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women, use only if potential benefit justifies potential risk to the fetus
Precautions & Warnings
- Prolonged use may result in overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms
- Discontinue in case of super-infection or hypersensitivity reaction
Overdose Effects
Topical overdose may be flushed from the eye(s) with warm tap water
