Indications

Pharmacology

Contains besifloxacin

Essential for partitioning of chromosomal DNA during bacterial cell division

Dosage & Administration

Adults and children dosage: 1 drop in the affected eye(s) 3 times a day for 7 days
Pediatric use proven in clinical trials
No significant difference observed in geriatric use

Hypersensitivity to active ingredient or formulation component

Side Effects

Most frequent adverse event: conjunctival redness (2%)
Other reported adverse events: blurred vision, eye pain, eye irritation, eye pruritus, headache (1-2%)

Precautions & Warnings

For topical ophthalmic use only
Avoid subconjunctival injection or direct introduction into the anterior chamber of the eye
Prolonged use may result in overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms including fungi
Discontinue use and seek alternative therapy if superinfection occurs
Do not touch the dropper tip to eye or any surface of the affected eye
Avoid wearing contact lenses during therapy
Shake well before use
