Indications
- Topical antibiotic for external bacterial infections of the eye
- Effective against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria
Pharmacology
- Bactericidal activity through active transport process into sensitive bacterial cells
- Inhibits protein synthesis by binding to bacterial ribosome subunits
Dosage & Administration
- Ophthalmic ointment and solution for mild to severe infections
- Pediatric use not established below the age of 1 year
Interaction
- Exercise caution when used with neuromuscular blocking agents or ototoxic drugs
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Tobramycin or any ingredients

- Hypersensitivity reactions including lid itching and swelling
