Indications

Allergic non-infectious blepharitis and conjunctivitis
Non-infectious keratitis
Inflammation of the anterior uvea (iritis, iridocyclitis )

Post-operative management of cataract, strabismus & other ocular surgeries

Pharmacology

Cortisone derivative
Anti-inflammatory

Anti-exudative
Inhibits phospholipase A2

Dosage & Administration

Instill 1 drop into the conjunctival sac 3-5 times per day
Apply ointment 3-4 times per day

Contraindications

Injuries and ulcerating processes of the cornea
Purulent infections of the conjunctiva and eyelids
Tuberculosis, mycosis, glaucoma

Reversible rise in intraocular pressure

Adverse effects on the fetus shown in animal experiments
Use during pregnancy only if benefit justifies potential risk to the fetus

Precautions & Warnings

Corticosteroids may mask, activate or aggravate an eye infection
Do not touch dropper tip to any surface

Overdose Effects

Overdose through local or accidental oral administration is not likely

Storage Conditions

Store at room temperature & protect from light
Contents should not be used more than one month after opening
