Dosage & Administration
- Instill 1 drop into the conjunctival sac 3-5 times per day
- Up to 1 drop every hour in acute cases
- Apply a small amount into the conjunctival sac 3-4 times per day
- Keep eyes closed for 1 to 2 minutes after ointment application

Contraindications
- Injuries and ulcerating processes of the cornea
- Bacterial or viral origin ulcers
- Purulent infections of the conjunctiva and eyelids
- Tuberculosis
- Mycosis
- Glaucoma

- Reversible rise in intraocular pressure
- Pressure measurements essential in predisposed patients

- Adverse effects in animal experiments
- Limited control human studies
- Use during pregnancy only if benefit justifies risk
Precautions & Warnings
- Corticosteroids may mask, activate, or aggravate eye infections
- Use alternative treatment if no improvement observed
