Indications

Pharmacology

  • Dexamethasone - anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic action
  • Ciprofloxacin - broad spectrum antibacterial activity

Dosage & Administration

  • 1 drop every four to six hours for eye
  • Increased dosage in initial 24-48 hours
  • 4 drops instilled into affected ear 2 times daily for 7 days

Interaction

  • Potential interactions with theophylline, caffeine, warfarin, and cyclosporin

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to any ingredient
  • Herpes simplex and other viral conditions
  • Mycosis
  • Glaucoma
  • Newborn babies
  • Fungal diseases of ocular or auricular structures
