Indications

Pharmacology
- Dexamethasone decreases inflammation by inhibiting leukocyte migration
- Dexamethasone suppresses normal immune response
- Gatifloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase
- Gatifloxacin inhibits Topoisomerase IV
Dosage & Administration
- Instill 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac 3 to 4 times daily
Contraindications
- Epithelial herpes simplex keratitis
- Vaccinia
- Varicella
- Viral diseases of the conjunctiva and cornea
- Mycobacterial infection of the eye
- Fungal diseases of ocular structures
- Hypersensitivity to any components of the medication
Side Effects
- Mild burning
- Chemosis
- Redness
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Use only if potential benefit justifies potential risk to fetus
- Caution when administered to a nursing mother
Precautions & Warnings
- For ophthalmic use only
- Monitor intraocular pressure if used for 10 days or more

Overdose Effects
- Overdose through local administration not known
- Specific measures to reduce resorption in case of accidental oral intake
- No specific antidote

Storage Conditions
- Store at room temperature
