Indications

  • Treatment of inflammation and pain associated with ocular surgery

Pharmacology

  • Inhibition of inflammatory response
  • Delay or slow healing
  • Inhibition of edema and fibrin deposition
  • Inhibition of scar formation
  • Induction of phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins
  • Control of biosynthesis of inflammatory mediators

Dosage and administration

  • Instill 1 drop into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye 4 times daily
  • Tapering dosage based on response

Contraindications

  • Contraindicated in active viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva
