Indications

Treatment of steroid responsive inflammation of the palpebral and bulbar conjunctiva
Treatment of inflammation of cornea and anterior segment of the globe

Pharmacology

Corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory action
Induction of phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins
Control of biosynthesis of inflammation mediators
Lower propensity to increase intraocular pressure

Dosage & Administration

Shake bottle before use
1 to 2 drops instilled into the conjunctival sac
Dosage may be increased to 2 drops every hour during initial 24 to 48 hours
Caution for children under 2 years of age

Contraindications

Acute superficial Herpes simplex keratitis
Fungal diseases of ocular structures
Hypersensitivity to the constituents of this medication

Elevation of intraocular pressure
Loss of visual acuity
Eye irritation
Visual disturbance
Ulcerative keratitis
Delayed wound healing

Pregnancy & Lactation

Pregnancy Category B3
Use during pregnancy only if potential benefit justifies potential risk to the fetus
Unknown systemic absorption into breast milk

Precautions & Warnings

Caution in patients with history of Herpes simplex keratitis
Regular checks for intraocular pressure
May mask, activate or aggravate eye infection
