Indications
- Steroid responsive inflammatory conditions
- Allergic conjunctivitis

Pharmacology
- Inhibition of inflammatory response
- Delay or slow healing
- Inhibition of edema
- Inhibition of leukocyte migration
- Inhibition of scar formation
- Induction of phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins
Dosage & Administration
- Instill 1 drop into the conjunctival sac
- 4 times a day for steroid responsive ocular inflammation
- 2 times a day for inflammation after surgery
- Apply small amount 4 times daily for ointment
- Instill one to two drops 4 times daily for gel
- Not established for pediatric patients
- No overall differences in safety and effectiveness for geriatric use
Interaction
- No expected effect on the pharmacokinetics of systemically administered medicinal products
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in most viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva
- Contraindicated in mycobacterial infection of the eye
- Contraindicated in fungal diseases of ocular structures
- Contraindicated in individuals with known or suspected hypersensitivity

Precautions & Warnings
- Re-evaluate if no improvement after two days
- Monitor intraocular pressure for use of 10 days or longer
- Consider fungus invasion in persistent corneal ulceration
- Advise to consult a physician if aggravated symptoms
- Not to wear contact lenses during therapy
