Indications

• Steroid-responsive inflammatory ocular conditions
• Bacterial ocular infection
• Allergic conjunctivitis
• Acne rosacea
• Keratitis
• Iritis
• Uveitis
• Post-operative inflammation following ocular surgery

Pharmacology

• Loteprednol - corticosteroid
• Phospholipase A2 inhibitory protein induction
• Prostaglandin and leukotriene biosynthesis control
• Tobramycin - aminoglycoside
• Bactericidal activity
• Inhibition of protein synthesis in bacteria

Dosage & Administration

• Shake well before use
• Apply one drop into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s)
• Every four to six hours dosing
• Increased dosing for initial 24 to 48 hours

Interaction

• No effect on plasma pharmacokinetics of systemically administered medicinal products

Contraindications

• Viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva
• Hypersensitivity to ingredients
• Hypersensitivity to other corticosteroids

• Discharge
• Itching
• Lacrimation disorder
• Photophobia
• Corneal deposits
• Ocular discomfort

• Use in pregnancy with caution
• Use in lactation with caution

Precautions & Warnings

• Ophthalmic use only
• Monitoring of intraocular pressure for prolonged use
• Fungal infections of the cornea
• Overgrowth of nonsusceptible organisms
• Cross-sensitivity to other aminoglycoside antibiotics

Use in Special Populations

• Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients not established

Storage Conditions

• Room temperature storage
• Protection from light
• Avoid dropper tip contact with surfaces
• Do not use contents after four weeks from first opening
