Indications

  • Treatment of postoperative inflammation
  • Reduction of ocular pain after cataract extraction

Pharmacology

  • Contains Bromfenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)
  • Blocks prostaglandin synthesis by inhibiting cyclooxygenase 1 and 2
  • Reduces intraocular inflammation

Dosage & Administration

  • One drop once daily on the affected eye(s)
  • Start 1 day prior to cataract surgery and continue through the first 14 days post-surgery

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to any ingredients of the formulation

  • Abnormal sensation in the eye
  • Conjunctival hyperemia
  • Eye irritation (including burning/stinging)
  • Eye pain
  • Eye pruritus
  • Eye redness
  • Headache
  • Iritis

Pregnancy & Lactation

  • Pregnancy Category C
  • Use during pregnancy if the benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus
  • Caution during nursing

Precautions & Warnings

  • May slow or delay healing
  • Use with caution in patients with known bleeding tendencies
  • Careful use with other medications that may prolong bleeding time

Storage Conditions

  • Store below 30°C in a dry place away from light
  • Keep out of reach of children
  • Do not touch the dropper tip to prevent contamination
  • Tightly close the bottle when not in use
  • Do not use after 4 weeks of opening
