Indications

Treatment of allergic conjunctivitis

Pharmacology

Potent anti-allergic substance
Non-competitive histamine (H1) receptor blocking property
Inhibition of mediator release (e.g., histamine, leukotrienes, prostaglandins)
Stabilization of mast cells
Reduction of chemotaxis and degranulation of eosinophils

Dosage & Administration

1 drop in affected eye(s) twice daily for adults and children 3 years and older
Consultation with a doctor for children under 3 years of age

Interaction

5-minute interval required if used concomitantly with other eye medications

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to Ketotifen or any of the components

Precautions & Warnings

Contains benzalkonium chloride as a preservative
Avoid instilling while wearing soft contact lenses
Lenses should be removed before application
Reinsert lenses no earlier than 15 minutes after use

No reported cases of overdose
Clinical results indicate no serious signs or symptoms after oral ingestion
Oral ingestion equivalent to 60% of recommended oral daily dose for a 3-year-old child
