Indications
- Prophylactic treatment of bronchial asthma
- Symptomatic treatment of allergic conditions including rhinitis and conjunctivitis
- Alleviating itching, pain, and tenderness associated with neurofibroma
- Symptomatic treatment of allergies such as hayfever and urticaria
Pharmacology
- Anti-allergic properties
- Antihistamine properties

Dosage & Administration
- Adult dose: 1 mg twice daily with food (can be increased to 2 mg in severe cases)
- Children above 3 years: 1 mg twice daily with food
- Start with 0.5 to 1 mg at night for easily sedated patients
Interaction
- Potentiates effects of sedatives, hypnotics, antihistamines, and alcohol
Contraindications
- Avoid concomitant use with oral antidiabetic agents
- Not recommended in pregnancy or when breastfeeding
