Indications

• Treatment of allergic conjunctivitis
• Relief of symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis
• Treatment of allergic rhinitis and skin conditions

Pharmacology

• Antihistamine
• Blocks histamine action
• Reduces allergy symptoms
• Mast cell stabilizer
• Antagonist at histamine H1 receptors
• Inhibits release of inflammatory mediators
• Moderate protein binding in human serum
• Not extensively metabolized
• Plasma elimination half-life of 8 to 12 hours
• Mainly eliminated through urinary excretion

Dosage

• Eye Drops: 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.7%
• Nasal Spray: Adults and Adolescents 12 years of age and older, Children 6 to 11 years of age
• Tablet: Adults, Children 7 years old or over
• Instructions for missed dose

Interaction

• Eliminated predominantly by renal excretion

Contraindications

• Known hypersensitivity to any component

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Not teratogenic in rats and rabbits

• Use in pregnant women only if potential benefit justifies potential risk to the fetus
• Caution when administered to a nursing mother

Precautions & Warnings

• Not to wear contact lens if eye is red
• Do not use for contact lens related irritation
• Avoid spraying Nasal Spray into the eyes
• Use Olonex Tablet as prescribed by doctor
• Do not stop taking medicine without consulting doctor

Overdose Effects
