Indications

  • Treatment of signs and symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis
  • Relief of symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis

Pharmacology

  • Olopatadine functions as an antihistamine
  • Blocks the action of histamine
  • Reduces allergy symptoms such as sneezing, itching, and runny nose
  • Stabilizes mast cells and inhibits release of histamine and inflammatory mediators

Dosage

  • Eye Drops - 0.1% dosage: One drop in each affected eye two times per day at an interval of 6 to 8 hours
  • Nasal Spray - Adults and Adolescents dosage: Two sprays per nostril twice daily
  • Tablet - Adults dosage: Take 1 tablet (5 mg) twice daily
