Description

  • This medication is used for cycloplegic or mydriatic purposes, to slow the progression of myopia in children aged 4 to 14 years, and for desired dilatation of the iris or uveal tract during acute inflammatory conditions.

Composition

  • Atropine Sulphate BP 10 mg per ml
  • Atropine Sulphate USP 0.1 mg per ml

Preservative

  • Benzalkonium Chloride 0.01%
  • Sodium Perborate 0.01%

Pharmacological Action

  • Suppression of myopia progression
  • Binding to muscarinic receptors
  • Changes in cell signaling proteins and enzymes
  • Scleral remodeling or strengthening
  • Reduction in axial length and vitreous chamber depth

Recommended Usage

  • One drop three times daily for uveitis
  • One drop in the eyes twice daily for refraction
  • One drop to each eye at night for myopia treatment

Pregnancy & Lactation

  • Systemic absorption after ocular administration

Precautions & Warnings

  • Not for children who previously had severe systemic reaction to Mydri Mydri Atropine
  • Increased susceptibility in children with Down's syndrome, spastic paralysis, or brain damage
  • Regular eye health clinical reviews required for long term treatment
  • Not for children less than 4 years old

  • Headache
  • Fast heartbeat
  • Dry mouth and skin
  • Unusual drowsiness
  • Flushing
