Description

  • Tropicamin sterile eye drops is used to dilate the pupil for eye examinations such as cycloplegic refraction and examination of the fundus of the eye. It is also used before and after eye surgery.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Precautions & Warnings

  • Consider administration of antidote (miotic) after examination
  • Patient should compress tear duct of treated eye for 2-3 minutes after instillation
  • Use with care in older patients

  • Reduced sweating and secretion
  • Increase in body temperature
  • Contact emergency doctor in case of accidental ingestion
  • Counteracted or neutralized through administration of a miotic agent (antidote)
