Indications

Reduction of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with glaucoma or ocular hypertension

Pharmacology

Comprised of Brimonidine Tartrate & Timolol Maleate
Dual mechanism of action
Decreases aqueous humor production
Increases nonpressure dependent uveoscleral outflow
Lowers IOP by reducing aqueous humor production
Rapid onset of action

Dosage & Administration

Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) twice daily

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any component
Bronchial asthma
Severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Sinus bradycardia
Second or third-degree atrioventricular block
Overt cardiac failure
Cardiogenic shock

Conjunctival folliculosis
Conjunctival hyperaemia
Eye pruritus
Ocular burning or stinging

Pregnancy & Lactation

No adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women
Use during pregnancy only if potential benefit justifies potential risk to the fetus
Timolol detected in human milk
Unknown excretion of Brimonidine Tartrate in human milk

Precautions & Warnings

May be absorbed systemically
Similar cardiovascular and pulmonary adverse reactions as systemic beta-blockers
Cautions in treating patients with severe or unstable cardiovascular or pulmonary diseases

Use in Special Populations

Safety and effectiveness not established in children below the age of 2 years
No overall differences in safety or effectiveness observed between elderly and other adult patients
