Tearfresh Liquigel 1% (Ophthalmic Solution)

Indications

• Relieves irritation and discomfort due to dryness of the eye
• Relieves irritation and discomfort due to exposure to wind or sun

Composition

• Active Substance: Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium USP 10 mg
• Preservative: Purite 0.0075%

Pharmacology

• Ocular lubricant
• Alleviates symptoms of moderate to severe dry eye syndromes
• Provides long-lasting protection against dryness and irritation
• Lubricating formulation similar to normal tears
• Non-sensitizing preservative

Dosage & Administration

• Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) 4 times a day or as needed

Interaction

• Minimum 5-minute interval between applications if several medicines are to be administered to the eye

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the product

Side Effects

• Burning
• Eye Irritation or Pruritus
• Visual disturbance
• Ocular discharge

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Safe use during pregnancy and lactation not established
• Consult doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding

Precautions & Warnings

• Concomitant ocular medication should be administered 15 minutes prior to instillation
• Remove contact lenses before use
• Do not use if solution changes color or becomes cloudy
• Do not touch tip of container to any surface
• Replace cap after each use

Use in Special Populations

• Pediatric use: Not for use in infants and small children under 3 years
• Geriatric use: No overall differences in safety or effectiveness observed between elderly and other adult patients

Storage Conditions

• Use within 30 days after first opening
• Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C
• Store in a dry place
• Protect from light
• Close the bottle tightly after use
• Keep away from the reach of children
