Indications
- Relieves irritation due to dryness of the eye
- Relieves discomfort due to exposure to wind or sun
Composition
- Active Substance: Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium USP 10 mg
- Preservative: Purite 0.0075%
Pharmacology
- Alleviates symptoms of moderate to severe dry eye syndromes
- Provides long-lasting protection against dryness and irritation
- Lubricating formulation similar to normal tears
- Mild & non-sensitising preservative
- Viscosity enhancer increasing retention time
Dosage & Administration
- Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) 4 times a day or as needed
Interaction
- Interval of at least 5 minutes between each application of multiple medicines
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any ingredient
Side Effects
- Burning
- Eye Irritation or Pruritus
- Visual disturbance
- Ocular discharge
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Safe use not established during pregnancy and lactation
- Consult doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding before use
Precautions & Warnings
- Administer concomitant ocular medication 15 minutes prior
- Remove contact lenses before use
- Do not use if solution changes color & becomes cloudy
- Avoid touching tip to surfaces to prevent contamination
- Replace cap after each use
Use in Special Populations
- Pediatric use not recommended for infants and small children under 3 years
- No observed overall differences in safety or effectiveness for geriatric use
Storage Conditions
- Use within 30 days after first opening
- Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C in a dry place
- Protect from light
- Close bottle tightly after use
- Keep away from the reach of children
