Description
Noburn 10 mg Tablet is a dopamine antagonist medication used to treat nausea, vomiting, and dyspeptic symptoms. It acts as a gastroprokinetic agent, enhancing gastrointestinal motility and regulating contraction of the pylorus.
Indications
- Dyspeptic symptom complex
- Delayed gastric emptying
- Gastroesophageal reflux

Pharmacology
- Dopamine antagonist
- Blocks dopamine receptors in Chemoreceptor Trigger Zone (CTZ) and stomach
- Restores normal motility and tone of upper gastrointestinal tract
- Facilitates gastric emptying
- Enhances antral and duodenal peristalsis
- Regulates contraction of the pylorus
Dosage & Administration
- Should be taken 15-30 minutes before meals
- Usual recommended oral dose for adults: 10-20 mg every 6-8 hours
- Maximum dose of 80 mg daily
- Dosage for children based on body weight
- Rectal administration dosage for adults and children
Interaction
- Concomitant administration of anticholinergic drugs may antagonize the antidyspeptic effect
- Antacids and antisecretory drugs should not be given simultaneously
- Metabolized through CYP3A4 pathway

Contraindications
