Indications
- Used for the treatment of lens opacification
Composition
- Adenosine BP: 2 mg per ml
- Cytochrome-C Ph. Gr.: 0.5 mg per ml
- Sodium Succinate Ph. Gr.: 0.6 mg per ml
- Nicotinamide BP: 10 mg per ml
- Preservative: Thiomersal 0.005%
Pharmacology
- Cytochrome C involved in oxidative phosphorylation
- Sodium Succinate promotes ATP production
- Adenosine essential for lens function
- Nicotinamide involved in ATP and NADPH production
Dosage & Administration
- One drop into the affected eye twice daily
Interaction
- Inform doctor of ongoing treatment to avoid interaction
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity
Side Effects
- May cause discomfort in some patients
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Recommended to ask doctor before use if pregnant or nursing
Precautions & Warnings
- Do not inject or swallow
- Wait 15 minutes between each instillation for concomitant treatment
