Indications

• Treatment of acute otitis externa in adult and pediatric patients

Pharmacology

• Quinolone antibiotic and corticosteroid combination
• Kills bacteria by stopping the production of essential proteins
• Reduces inflammation

Dosage & Administration

• Adult dose of 2-4 drops instilled thrice to four times a day
• Paediatric use approved for patients 2 years and older

Interaction

• No known drug interactions

Contraindications

• Discontinue at first appearance of a skin rash or hypersensitivity

Side Effects

• Reports of headache, pruritis, migraine, hyperesthesia, paresthesia, fungal dermatitis, cough, rash, urticaria, alopecia

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Caution in pregnant women
• Avoid use during lactation

Precautions & Warnings

• May result in overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms
• Culture should be obtained if infection is not improved after one week of therapy

• Keep out of reach of children
• Shake well before each use
• Use within 30 days after opening
