Description
- A medication used for relieving dyspeptic symptom complex, acute nausea and vomiting, Parkinson's disease, and speeding barium transit in radiological studies.

Dosage Form

Dosage & Administration
- Should be taken 15-30 minutes before meals
- Adults: 10-20 mg (1-2 tablets or 10-20 ml suspension), every 6-8 hours daily
- Children: 0.2-0.4 mg/kg body weight, every 6-8 hours daily
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the drug
- Neonates
- Gastrointestinal hemorrhage
- Mechanical obstruction or perforation
- Prolactin releasing pituitary tumor (prolactinoma)
Side Effects
- Transient intestinal cramps
- Extrapyramidal phenomena
- Increase in plasma prolactin level
