Description

Indications
- Relief from nasal congestion in colds, rhinitis, and sinusitis
- Tubal block and serous otitis media associated with nasal congestion
Pharmacology
- Alpha-adrenergic activity for vasoconstriction of nasal blood vessels
- Selectively targets alpha-adrenergic receptors in nasal mucosa
Mode of action
- Vasoconstriction of nasal blood vessels
- Increases volume of nasal airflow
Dosage and administration
- Adult: 0.1% solution - 2 or 3 drops in each nostril 2-3 times daily
- Children 6-12 years: 0.05% solution - 2 or 3 drops in each nostril 2-3 times daily
- Nasal spray dosage for different age groups
Interaction
- No reported drug interactions
Contraindications
- Contraindicated for patients with specific surgeries or hypersensitivity
- Single person use only to prevent cross-infection
- Intake not advised for more than seven consecutive days
Side effects
- Burning sensation in nose and throat

Pregnancy and lactation
