Indications

• treatment of hypertension
• lowering blood pressure
• reducing risk of cardiovascular events
• use alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents

Dosage & Administration

• recommended adult dose of 80 mg once daily
• consider starting dose of 40 mg for certain patients
• additional blood pressure reduction with combination therapy

Interaction

• risks associated with dual RAS blockade

Contraindications

• contraindicated co-administration with Aliskiren in diabetic patients
